Indiana has announced that a combination of sophomore righty Jackson Yarberry and senior lefty Deron Swanson will open this midweek contest. Swanson has been effective in two of three outings so far. Yarberry had been sidelined for several weeks as the Hoosiers look to add pieces to the strengthening pitching corps.

On site at Bart Kaufman Field. It's a bit chilly, but the sun is out for a midweek contest against a solid foe out of the MAC. This will be one of two contests the two play this month, has they will face off again Wednesday April 23rd at Victory Field in Indianapolis.

St. Louis transfer Jackson Yarberry will open this one for the Hoosiers. After his 6-RBI game yesterday, Caleb Koskie not only stays in the lineup, he moves up to fifth in the order behind Tyler Cerny, who is hitting clean-up. Joey Brenczewski is the designated hitter.

TJ Schuyler appeared to fall a ball off of himself, but the umpire called it a fair bowl and it ended the end with a fielders choice. Jeff Mercer was very unhappy with the decision he signaled for a challenge but no challenge seems to take place which I’m not sure if it was simply not challenge-able.

Swanson works around a one out double in a relatively quick shut down inning. he’s still under 45 pitches so far. Not seeing much activity in the Hoosier bullpen so very likely they’re gonna try to push as far as he can go.

Ryan Kraft has sat down and Brayton Thomas is throwing again. looks like Kraft got up when Rushing got in trouble, but since rushing was able to work out of it, they’re going to give the freshman an opportunity and likely have craft available again in case of trouble.
