Dickerson beats the throw on a potential double play. This give Stadler a chance with runners on the corners and just one out.

Grable's third strikeout of the game starts the second inning. He's working 92-94 with the fastball and gets swing and miss with high heat. A quick second out is a fly ball to right.

Grable gets the 9-hole hitter 2-2 with fastballs and then gets a low slider slapped to left for a two-out single. When the count went to two strikes, TJ Schuyler came out to talk to Grable. Hoosier pitchers have had a habit of hanging off-speed pitches in 2-strike counts lately.

The good news for Indiana is they have scored two runs with only 1 hit. I have to think Indiana will hit a lot more in this game. Ben Grable's struggles are a concern and Indiana's primary bullpen arms went in game 1. There is no activity in the Hoosier bullpen now. Jeff Mercer and Dustin Glant are hoping Grable can settle in for a couple of innings. He gets an infield pop-up on his first pitch.

Ohio State's Ryan Butler has now more than doubled his inning's pitched on the season. While he has given up a pair of unearned runs, he's limited Indiana to just the one Taylor hit and is now starting his third time thorugh the Indiana order.

Halfway through the game, Indiana is getting outhit 10-1, but still only down by four runs. Given the pitching situation, Hoosier hitters need to get going soon. I don't think 7 runs will be enough. Butler enters the 5th with only 67 pitches thrown. They really need to get to him or run him.

Jake Hanley had an opportunity when the ball bounced off the the first baseman's glove, but the second baseman just beat Hanley out. The Hoosiers are struggling at the plate in the second game. There is finally activity in the Ohio State bullpen.

Brenczewski bailed Copenhaver out swinging on an 0-2 ball in the dirt. However, he gets plunked 2-2 and Wiggins is up the bases loaded and one out. Coaches mound visit in progress. There will be a new pitcher. Ohio State goes with a lefty to faces Wiggins and Taylor.
The hope for Indiana is to score here. Luke Carrell has more walks than innings pitched against the best walking hitter in the league. Even with that, running Copenhaver after one out at least gets the Hoosiers deeper into this Buckey bullpen.
