Jake Stadler and Will Moore are back after illness. Dickerson takes a turn at DH as the outfielders rotate with Devin Taylor moving to center and Hogan Denny moving to left.
Jackson Yarberry is on the bump to open this one for the Hoosiers. He has a solid 1.33 WHIP on the season so far and a very impressing 39.3% strikeout rate compared to only a 7.1% walk rate.

Jeff Mercer makes this mound visit. As pitching coach Dustin Glant makes almost all of the mound visit, this is likely less tactical and more trying to get Yarberry right mentally.

A pop-up on a thrown bat ends the inning with Oliver picking it up. Oliver made a poor throw to Jake Hanley at first base. Hanley bobbled it, but still managed to make the force play before the confused batter got to first. Yarberry escapes the jam with just the one run as damage.

Holderfield is struggling as well. An RBI single gets the Mount up big early. You have to expect Indiana can put up big numbers against what remains of the Mount's weekend pitching, but they have to find someone to get some outs. The pitching that had been Indiana's bright spot has really struggled so far today.

Devin Taylor makes the third out trying to steal third base.
With having to go by the radio call it's hard to understand what is happening. The entire 2nd inning was an execution nightmare for Indiana. The Hoosiers should be leading this game, but instead trail after giving away at least one run in the top and then gifted two outs in the bottom.

Seth Benes returns to the mound for IU after get 1 out facing no batters on Friday. He immediately surrenders a quick lead-off double.

It goes from bad to worse as Benes responds to the double by walking the next batter on four pitches. It's a common pattern for Glant's pitchers where a pitcher gets spooked and then won't attack the zone. The tougher part of this pattern is that when they get back into the zone its with hittable pitches. The Mount has shown they can hit when given a good opportunity.

RHP Jakob Foster is the new Mount pitcher. His WHIP is 1.88 on the season so far. He has a 15.4% strikeout rate and 10.3% walk rate. Opponents are hitting .324 against him. Indiana may need to do this with the bats.
