Aydan Decker-Petty is warming in the bullpen. I think the hope was to attempt to win this one without ADP so he could pitch against Tennessee. With Tonghini and Risedorph both unable to consistently throw strikes, Indiana will be forced to use ADP just to give Indiana a chance to face Tennessee. Tonghini walks the bases loaded.

Risedorph starts with 3 straight balls, then gets 5 pitches in the zone (multiple foul offs) before allowing a walk. The 9-pitch first at-bat without an out was not what the Hoosiers wanted.

What does pitching availability look like if the Hoosiers want to win three games in two days?
Indiana is, in my opinion, going to have to prioritize strike throwing and accept some opposing hits and try to win these games with their bats.
RHP Brayden Risedorph will start today against Southern Miss. He's been up and down this season, but was Indiana's day-1 starter. He could eat 3 to 5 innings.
LHP Brandon Keyster hasn't been used much lately but he was big in the middle of Indiana's best B1G stretch run. So. Miss doesn't have good lefty/righty splits and could be a good option after Risedorph.
RHP Julian Tonghini is capable of 3 solid innings in an outing.
RHP Jacob Vogel also could do up to 3 innings.
If they get a really big lead, RHP Seti Manase is a proven strike thrower who may get hit hard but will give the defense a chance to get outs.
RHP Aydan Decker-Petty could go 3-5. If things go well in the afternoon, I would expect ADP to be used against Tennesse.
LHP Ryan Rushing is a question mark, because they just stopped using him in the last month. He's been able to pitch up to 3 innings on the weekends before then.
I'd really like them to avoid using anyone who has thrown so far on Sunday. If they could manage to win two today, that would allow for Drew Buhr, Ryan Kraft, and Ethan Phillips to all return with at least a day of rest Monday night. Due to extensive use, I'm not sure Ty Bothwell or Ty Rybarczyk could be used, although given where they are in their pitching careers, arm care may not be a top concern and a single inning on Monday may be possible.
