3-seed Indiana will designated as the road team for this neutral site game against 7-seed Ohio State. Baseball tournament play after the first round assigns home to the team that has been home in a smaller percentage of games so far. Indiana was home as the better seed against Purdue and Ohio State was road as the worse seed against Nebraska.

Indiana: Sophomore RHP Connor Foley 4-1, 3.81 ERA, 56.2 IP, 30.7% K to 16.0% BB, WHIP 1.22 .152 BA against
Foley is on a full week's rest thanks to the double-header last week.
Ohio State: Freshman RHP Gavin DeVooght 2-3, 4.01 ERA, 42.2 IP, 18.8% K to 10.9% BB, WHIP 1.38, .235 BA against
DeVooght's struggled in his last three outings and did not pitch last week. His is 6'-5" tall with a 93-mph fastball, slider, curveball arsenal. He was using the curveball heavily early against Northwestern. The fastball was hit hard when thrown in the zone. Hoosier hitters will need to make him establish the curveball in the zone and hope he's forced to throw more fastballs. He seemed to be able to command that curveball against Northwestern, so the Hoosiers may be forced to hit that pitch. He does leave it up a lot so there is an opportunity.

DeVooght was effective in the first. Three pitches and a groundout for Devin Taylor. Josh Pyne worked the count full and watched a slider just clip the zone for strike three. Mitchell flied out.
