With only 8 hits the Hoosiers drop the opener of the series. This home loss probably ends Indiana's hopes of an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. Indiana still needs to get a win to qualify for the B1G Tournament, which the Hoosiers likely must now win in order to get to the post season. A very disappointing day at the plate. Yes... Indiana outhit Michigan 8-5, but only scoring two runs at home against a poor pitching team is just not what this team is supposed to be doing.

Stadler is hit by a pitch and is awarded first base. Jasen Oliver is now the batter. Hoosiers need a hit very badly. Colopy is now running for Stadler.
