Rybarczyk misses the target badly on a 1-2 pitch hanging a breaking ball in, but luckily it produces a lazy pop up. A balk puts a runner in scoring position. A fly ball out to the centerfield warning track gets the runner to third with two outs.

Joey McMannis will take the ball for Maryland. A respectable 1.48 WHIP for a Sunday starter. .237 batting average against and a 3.76 ERA. McMannis averages under 4 innings per appearance.

The goal for the weekend: win the series, has been achieved. That being said, to overcome a first weekend home series loss, the best way to make up for that is with a road series sweep. There will be other opportunities, but given how back on their heels the Terps must feel right now, it would a great thing for Indiana to seize this moment and avenge what the Terps did in Bloomington less than a year ago.

As coach Mercer hinted at in his Tuesday postgame, Ty Rybarczyk has been slotted as the Sunday starter. Much like when Ty Bothwell pitched an inning of midweek in place of a bullpen session before going 8 inning against Butler, I do not think that appearance will limit Rybarczyk more than he already would have been. Now he is surely LIMITED as he is still working up from having Tommy John surgery to repair a UCL last year. What that limit is exactly, we cannot be sure. He went 3.1 innings and 49 pitches against Middle Tennessee. Perhaps somewhere around 60 pitches could be expected here today if he's performing well.
