Jack Moroknek takes Rushing long. Stadler out to talk tothe freshman. Mercer's hope of the rest of the Hoosier pitchers staying competitive does not seem to coming to fruition. Too many well hit balls early in the game.

That being said, Rushing does strike out Billy Wurch.

Lefty freshman Ryan Rushing is the new Hoosier pitcher. Decker-Petty ended his outing with a scoreless frame and Rushing gets to start with a clean inning. He gets ahead 0-2 to his first batter.

The error is the only Hoosier baserunner. Whiteside is averaging just over 2 innings per appearance but is more effective than usual at run prevention. Allowing baserunners at his usual clip.

Hoosiers match Butler with 3 hits, but Brenczewski gets gunned down at home to end the inning with no run production. This has been a big issue this season. Indiana not getting run production from their baserunners while opponents do the opposite.
