Illinois' Friday starter Jack Crowder has a 1.54 WHIP on the year. 11.8% walk rate and 22.7% strikeout rate. He leads the Illini with 21 innings pitched.

Per D1Baseball.com's new Diamond Sports Rankings (DSR) system. Indiana is currently ranked 86th in the nation and Illinois is ranked 137th in the nation. DSR is an adjusted ELO ranking system. For evaluating teams 1-3 months in I like this system. RPI is the official stick, but it will take another month to start to really mean something as a comparison tool.
