Illinois transfer Ty Rybarczyk will be the opener against the Sycamores. He went one inning in his first appearance back from Tommy John surgery last week. He may be able to go two today, we will see. I would expect lefty freshamn Ryan Rushing to follow-up Rybarczyk. We could also see freshman Seth Benes, who was pulled quickly after struggling last week. With two days off before the Illinois series, we could very well see Brayden Risedorph in to pitch the ninth inning if the Hoosiers have a lead, now that he has been identified as filling the closer role.

Dominic Listi wastes a bunch of pitches foul. Rybarczyk gets him to pop up a ball to right for the first out. Rybarczyk hasn't been scared to start early with off-speed. Despite what you hear from the commentators on ESPN+, Rybarczyk is a starting pitcher. He started last week. This was the role Indiana planned for him.
