Indiana has a very young team on the field. Creighton allowed two hits and West Virginia tested the Hoosier defense with a double steal and then a 1st/3rd steal that lead to the second of two runs scored.

Hogan Denny hits a solo homer. There should have been a man on base but Kelvyn Paulino, Jr. did not run on a ball hit on a fly down the right field line which fell just in fair territory. The right fielder threw him out at first base. Nothing else going for the Hoosiers in the 8th.
