Jasen Oliver will start at second base in place of Tyler Cerny who had a tough day in the field with three errors on Saturday. Andrew Wiggins gets the start in right field as he keeps drawing walks. TJ Schuyler will start for the second straight day. It looks like the idea with the catchers is that one will start and if there is a big spot, Joey Brenczewski or Cerny could pinch hit and the other (in this case Jake Stadler) would finish the game.

Drew Buhr will get his second appearance coming off injury. This will be another open. Probably just one inning. I would also expect to see Aydan Decker-Petty, Brayton Thomas, Pete Haas, Seth Benes, and Jacob Vogel. With no midweeks (it is Finals Week on campus) we could also see Deron Swanson, Jackson Yarberry, and Ryan Rushing particulary if the game gets out of hand (one way or another).

On the audio call, Austin render said that Drew Buhr will likely be stretched between 30-40 pitches today. That could mean two innings instead of just the one I predicted earlier.

Also this game has a drop-dead time 4:15pm ET. No inning can start after that time. This could lead to a shortened game and/or even a tie score.

Jake Hanley gets on but is thrown out trying to advance all the way to third on an errant pick-off throw. He was out by a mile, but head coach Jeff Mercer filling in coaching third badly misread the situation. Another runner is erased on a double play. Hoosiers have sent the minimum to the plate, despite getting three baserunners in five innings.

Another single has runners on the corners with just one out. Dustin Glant makes the move to the freshman lefty Thomas.

Decker-Petty was expected to a key arm they would need for a run in the B1G Tournament. This performance is a disappointing setback. I assume he will get another shot next week against Purdue.
